FAQ

Are there showers? How much are they?

We have free showers that are available for Long Beach Campground campers.

Are you located at the beach?

We are approx 2 minute drive from the world famous Long Beach in the Pacific Rim National Park. Alternatively, we have a walking trail through our campground that takes approx 30 minutes.

Are there bears or other wildlife?

We make a big effort to keep our location clear so that we don't attract bears. If they do make a presence here, we have to call Parks Canada to cull the bear. Crows in the area are also a problem. If there is any food left out, they will be there first thing in the morning calling the rest of them. However, bears frequently roam our beautiful golf course!

Is the airport noisy?

No. The few scheduled daily flights do not land or take off from the air strip that is near the camp sites.

How many campers per site?

Our rates are based on 4 persons per site. We allow up to six campers per site with an added charge per person per night.

Can I run a generator?

Yes you can! Generators must be shut off for quiet time at 9PM

Can we have a fire?

Yes. Normally, we are able to allow fires all season if there isn't a provincial fire ban.

If we get two sites, can we park in one and set up our tents in the other?

No. There are two vehicles max per site and six people max.

Can we have a fire past quiet time?

No. This is a family camp ground and fires must be out at quiet time.

Do campers get a discount on golf?

No, but the rates are great!

Can we pick wood from the forest?

No. There is firewood available for purchase in the Campground Office.

What if I have to leave before 7, or I arrive past 11 and have a reservation?

You can park outside the main gate and walk in/out. Late reservations will be posted at the office.

Can I bring my own firewood?

Yes

Are guests allowed?

Yes, but they must leave by 10 pm.
